CustomTec owner dies

William Alexander (Alec) Sprenger, 54, of Lachute, Que., owner and operator of CustomTec Fire Apparatus, passed away suddenly at home on Dec. 26.

Alec shared his late father Eric's passion for fire apparatus and he was founding member of SPAAMFAA and the Musee des Pompiers du Quebec. Alec is survived by one sister, Elizabeth, and his long-time companion Leslie Playfair. A private funeral will be held at Mount Royal in the spring.
